Agreement

By installing or using KeynetikPOS you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use it. "We" means Keynetik Systems; "you" means the business or person using the software.

Licence

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to run KeynetikPOS on the number of tills your licence key allows. You may not copy, resell, reverse-engineer, or remove licence checks from the software, except where the law allows. POS Core is free to use. Higher tiers are bought once per till and do not expire.

Free trial

Every new install starts with a 30-day trial with full ERP Full access and no card required. When the trial ends, the install returns to POS Core unless you activate a licence key.

Updates

Paid tiers include one year of updates from purchase. After that, updates are optional at the yearly price shown on the pricing page. If you do not renew, your licence and the version you have keep working; you simply stop receiving new versions. Statutory rates (NSSF, SHIF, PAYE, Housing Levy, VAT) change over time, so staying current is your responsibility.

Add-ons and subscriptions

Cloud Backup and Multi-Terminal are add-ons. Multi-Terminal is billed as a monthly or annual subscription through Stripe. You can cancel at any time; when the subscription ends the add-on is switched off, while your core licence continues to work. Your tills keep working on their own when an add-on ends, and any unsynced sales stay on the till.

Payments and refunds

Prices are shown on the pricing page. For refund requests, email [email protected] and we will review each request individually.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your own backups and check that they can be restored.
  • Check tax, VAT and payroll figures with a qualified accountant or the Kenya Revenue Authority before filing. KeynetikPOS is a tool that helps you calculate and record them; it is not tax, legal or accounting advice.
  • Keep your licence key and your till's login details private.
  • Follow the law that applies to your business, including data-protection law for your own customers and staff.

No warranty and limits on liability

KeynetikPOS is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost profits, lost data, or indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the software in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending the licence

We may suspend or revoke a licence key that is used in breach of these terms, for example one shared beyond the number of tills it allows. You may stop using the software at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya.
